Jeffrey Silverstein – “Coming Back Around”

Very excited to see a familiar face around today with a new single from Jeffrey Silverstein and an announcement that he’s made the move to Full Time Hobby. The Portland songwriter has always dipped between the divide of folk and Cosmic Country and his latest is a languid treatise on moving home. There’s comfort in the familiar, but an out-of-sync feeling as well; something that remains forever misaligned. The song saunters on a chugging beat, a sweetgrass strum and Silverstein’s barrel-aged drawl, the kind that draws the listener closer with every breath. The new single features a stacked cast of collaborators, Ryan Oxford (Y La Bamba, Rose City Band), bassist Alex Chapman, and drummer Dana Buoy (Akron/Family). The new single, “Coming Back Around,” is out today from Full Time Hobby.
