Gift Horse – “Rebar Redux”

A new vision of sound envelops Gift Horse on their latest album. Expanded to a trio, longtime RSTB fave Ryley Walker joins Matthew Hord (Pop. 1280, Running) and Jonathan Schenke (Eaters). The addition of the guitar to the band’s synth and rhythm repertoire opens doors to something entirely new from their debut cassette. Still pulsing with boiler room darkness, the band turns the pressure cooker atmosphere into a sound that pits industrial and post-punk textures against Walker’s glowing desert blues leads. With incandescent throb, first single “Rebar Redux” draws the listener into their world. The new album, A Career In Architecture, is out November 6th from Husky Pants.
