The Klittens – “Have A Heart”

It’s already been a busy year for Yaël Dekker in the wake of news of The Hobknobs debut, but the Dutch artist adds another release to the 2026 pile with the debut album from her band The Klittens as well. The band Katja Kahana, Winnie Conradi, Laurie Zantinge, Marrit Meinema, and Dekker) has had a steady stream of singles and EPs over the past few years and they break news on a proper debut this week. Threaded with the band’s post-punk pounce, the first single, “Have A Heart” pairs a rubberized bass line with strums that gain increasing tendencies towards noise. The song bursts through in the second half, scratching at the speakers with din and damage before buttoning it back up to bounce out of sight. The single speaks to the same immediacy that’s been pumping though their last few releases. The new album, Have A Heart, is out September 25th.
