Sunday Mourners – “Terminal Boredom”
by Andy
After an early ‘26 album that landed them in the hearts of fans of brittle augts indie, Sunday Mourners return with a new EP that keeps them fresh in mind before the year fades out. The EP’s title track, “Terminal Boredom,” still swings for the tensile ‘n taut fences, ripped on itching guitar riffs and a pounding beat. Fans who’ve been feeding off a return of The Strokes this year should definitely be digging into the deep end of the Mourners. The band may be West Coast, but they’ve got a New York flame burning in their furnace. The new EP is a four-shot shaker that proves the band just as potent in the short-format department as they’ve been on albums. Terminal Boredom is out now from Curation Records.
