Real Numbers – “Never Never Again”

Always a treat with a new Real Numbers single on the screen and in the speakers, and the band offers up the first taste of a new album this morning. The Midwest janglers have been riding the line between bittersweet and bucolic for years now and “Never Never Again” locks right into that beautiful blush of melancholy that’s made them mainstays around the site. Bright strums and soft sighs push the song further than their early works, dipping even deeper into the well of Sarah and Creation that’s fed them previously. The band’s new album, Was It Always This Way, is out August 14th from Slumberland.
