The Bures Band – “Delta”

I’m forever shouting new works from Aussie favorites The Bures Band. The band has been tearing through 2026 with a run of singles, surely leading up to a new album with no name yet in sight. The latest finds the band with a kind of wanderlust in their hearts. Where most of their singles hint at the cosmic threads just beneath the surface, they rarely unfold so blatantly in the studio. “Delta” is for the heads; a shaggy, shambolic drive through the fields with jam in its heart. The band lets their twin leads tangle, opting for a certified choogle at the heart of “Delta,” saving the stacked-harmony bliss for a finishing touch on the way out the door. Hints of Fat and Mountain Bus are at the heart of this cut, one of the band’s most dusted-denim gems pinned to the spools yet. The new record is surely in the mists, but for now there are three solid reasons to love The Bures Band this year. Delta’s out now from their Bandcamp.
