Fra Det Onde – “Hendrixen (Excerpt from Smilet Er En Flyktig Tilstand)”

Another scorcher out of the always reliable El Paraiso. Been a few years since Fra Det Onde have graced the speakers but the trio is back with a big one for 2026. The band features members of Motorpsycho, Bigbang and Exoterm, pairing now with Emil Nikolaisen who’s been known for work with Serena Maneesh, Todd Rundgren, and The Brian Jonestown Massacre. Shades of Miles, Cherry, Can, and Gong curdle in the sun and seep into the stylus. The record boasts a massive suite that brings the band’s foundations in fusion to the forefront. Even within the excerpt of the full freakout, the listener is torn and twisted, ready to gnaw at the roots of jazz, psych, and the outer layers of the kosmiche cavalcade. The band’s new record Smilet Er En Flyktig Tilstand is out June 26th from El Paraiso Records.
