Terramar – “Ritual De Fantasmas”

A couple of exciting new ones over at RSTB faves El Paraiso Records this week, but this one’s a pretty notable addition to the catalog. Terramar brings together members of El Paraiso house band Causa Sui with Isaiah Mitchell of Earthless. The first taste of the new album doesn’t bring the kind of scorch that might be associated with that name, instead lapping at the listener with a pastoral calm. Underpinned by the lap of surf, “Ritual De Fantasmas” pairs fingerpicked acoustics with a heady swirl of kosmiche tones. Toeing the line between pastoral prog and psych-folk, the song should appeal to fans from Six Organs to Popul Vuh and Witthüser & Westrupp. The band’s eponymous new LP, Terramar is out November 27th. Check out the sunfaded new video from the outfit now!
