The Odyssey Cult – “Back To The Cave”

I’ve already sung a few praises on this one, but a new single descends this week from The Odyssey Cult (feat mems of Comets on Fire, Howlin’ Rain, Osees, Magic Fig, Carlton Melton, Sonic Youth, and more). Where the last cut was led by vocals from Magic Fig’s Inna Showalter, it’s Bridget Dawson (Osees) who takes the mic this time around. A storm of psych, a tsunami of froth and fray, the new cut crashes against the speakers like angry surf. Sliced ragged with some indelible sax from Zoh Amba, “Back To The Cave” is a torrential view of what’s in store on the band’s new album, Vol. 3. The new record is out August 21st from Silver Current.
