Tom Henry – “Silverlake Song”
by Andy
A different side of Tom Henry today as the songwriter lets loose a third single in anticipation of his new album, What’s Left. Eschewing his usual power pop pounce in favor of folk strums wrapped in psych-tinged atmospheres, “Silverlake Song” is a perfectly prismatic offering for the end of October. With an ill wind whipping through it’s strums, the song adds a touch of unease to Henry’s often sunny demeanor. A little bit Syd, a little bit Ayers, the song showcases the depth and growth that’s engulfed the new album. The new record, What’s Left, is out November 20th from Royal Oakie Records.
