Wayne Faler – “On My Way”

I’m always a sucker for whatever Curation is cooking up and this month they’ve got the sophomore album from Wayne Faler (Dream Boys). Dipped in the haziest ends of the country canon, Faler pairs fog-framed twang with a hangover from is Paisley Pop days. The album gets a helping hand from Joey Waronker (touring w/ Beck, R.E.M.) and L.A. pedal steel mainstay Tim Ramsey. “On My Way” opens up Wayne’s new album, a gauzy jangler that chases the sun over the horizon. Smeared with the stains of canyon callers and ‘80s New Wave, the song is a warm breath of glazed goodness. The new album, Foreward, is out November 13th from Curation Records.
