Whitney’s Playland – “Last Call”

Announced a few weeks back, a new EP is on the way from RSTB faves Whitney’s Playland. The Bay Area ban releases second single, “Last Call” today. Caught in a bit more haze than the last, the new single positions their driving indie pop inside a dream of velveteen sighs. Recorded across their various home studios, the record feels bigger than ever before, cocooning their sound in radiant atmospheres, barrages of guitar, and a trickle of synth. A song about long bar nights and questionable choices, the band wraps the rearview of their youth in a shoegaze shimmer, echoing Curve and Lush with a welcoming crush. The new EP, Bottled Lightning, is out November 20th from Dandy Boy Records.
