RSTB20 feat. The Reds, Pinks and Purples, Simon Joyner, Garcia Peoples, Weak Signal, & Jeanines

Hard to believe it, but this marks the 20th year of the site. A big thanks to all those who’ve stuck through it with me. I’m happy to keep independent media alive in a rather treacherous year for outlets. To celebrate I’m heading down to Tubby’s in Kingston, NY for a two-day weekender that features a bunch of site favorites. On 10/2 longtime favorites Garcia Peoples are back in the Tub for to push the cosmic boundaries yet again and the bill doubles as a great return of Weak Signal, fresh from their move overseas. I’m eager to see the songs from the band’s stellar 2024 LP carve a few new creases in my consciousness. The first night’s bound to be a must for Upstate heads.

The second night, 10/3, brings a trio of site favorites, including the first appearance at Tubby’s of The Reds, Pinks and Purples. The band’s got a new record already etched into the best of ’26 and a just announced companion EP on the way right before the show. Check out a track below from the new EP. Joining RPP will be longtime favorites Simon Joyner & The Nervous Stars, who’ve left lovely impressions on crowds here over the past couple of years. I’m thrilled to have Simon back in Kingston for this celebration. And starting it off will be Jeanines. This will be my first time seeing the RSTB site regulars and I’m really excited to have them open this show! If you’re around this fall, come and celebrate!
