The Bures Band – “Avon Valley”

Real excited to wake up to news of a new single from site favorite The Bures Band. The Aussie band’s been leading the choogle charge in the South Hemi and they keep things rambling on their new single “Avon Valley.” Dug into groove, fried by the sun, and set swift by Summer breezes, the song slips deeper into the band’s penchant for Cosmic Americana. Stacked harmonies float this one into the upper atmosphere, but the band brings it skidding back down to a terrestrial tumble as the song hits the second half, feeling like the setup for endless stage-side jams in the instrumental breakdown. There’s been a wave of top tier Americana out of Australia for a few years now, but The Bures Band has been leading the charge. The single whets the appetite for a new album, rumored to be on the way later this year. For now, this one’s a hell of a lot to chew on.
