Fuses – “Anilene”

A second single from Canadian duo Fuses solidifies the anticipation for the band’s debut album. Featuring Motorists’ Craig Fahner with Swedish drummer and bassist Moa-Linn Rösenlof (Orkan, Spela Död), the pair excels at setting soft country harmonies aloft on the breeze. A touch of twang encircles the new single “Aniline,” balancing nicely with the back and forth volley of vocals between Fahner and Rösenlof. The wind might be winding towards warmer days, but there’s a real touch of Spring in this one. As with their first single, the band doesn’t always play country straight, enmeshing the guitars and click-sway of drums in a bed of keys that keeps a few clouds on the horizon. The band’s debut album, Sawdust in the Transmission, is out June 19th from Having Fun Records / We Are Busy Bodies.
