Edena Gardens – “Earth Blemish”

Perennial favorites Edena Gardens return this week with news of their most ambitious album yet. The band unveils the first track from a massive, 79+ minute new album that finds them exploring the boundaries of their sound. “Earth Blemish,” unfolds slowly, a meditative missive that leans into the band’s sinewy guitar play and their cosmic acumen. Nicklas Sørensen (Papir) spars with the Jakob Skøtt’s (Causa Sui) dialed-in drumming and the insistent push of Martin Rude’s bass. The band’s delved deep into the nebula in the past, but this time they’ve cut the tether and have no intentions of turning back. The new album, Quintessence, is out August 7th from El Paraiso Records.
