The Bures Band – “High Tide”

A busy week has kept the site kinda quiet, but it’s time for a catchup on some essentials from the week. I’m delighted to see another single from RSTB faves The Bures Band this week. A new album’s still hanging in the wings, but the band follows up last month’s stunner with another languid bout of Cosmic Americana. ”High Tide” brings the band’s woven harmonies and breeze-bolstered guitars to the speakers, digging deep into the ‘70s strains of country, rock, and folk. Like “Avon Valley,” the song doesn’t slip by without a little space to ramble, and the penchant for jam tangles is pushed to the forefront on the new tracks. Once again fans of Taos, Help Yourself, Sand, and the more malleable end of the Byrds catalog have a lot to hold onto here. The band’s got a perfectly faded video to match. The new single is out now, news on the album shortly.
