Tom Henry – “It’s Not Meant To Be”
by Andy
A second single swings in from recent RSTB fave Tom Henry. I came late to his last album but it stuck around the turntable after some love from year end lists brought his clean-sheen power pop to my attention. The second single from his new album doesn’t dust up the pop, but instead leans deep into the Big Star / Emitt Rhodes/ Apple Records revue. Henry turns out big hooks hung on jangles and a dream-laden delivery that drops him into the swoon over sneer variety of early power pop. Tom’s new album, What’s Left, is out November 20th from Royal Oakie Records.
