The Gnomes – “Batteries”

Rising RSTB favorites The Gnomes return with news of another EP and the band proves that the short format is a great medium for them. Like their last EP, this one looks to expand the boundaries instead of digging into the ‘60s swing they’ve explored in the past. Proving they can grip onto grunge just as quickly as garage, the band makes a shift for “Batteries” to a thick, molten sound that’s crusted in fuzz. This is the band at their heaviest, still surfing through the static of the past but rolling the dial forward a few decades to the ‘90s this time. The new cut anchors the With A Gnome EP, out November 4th.
