Bramwell – “Standing on Stones”

One more bout of prismatic pop for the day. UK outfit Bramwell have let loose a few indispensable singles over the past year and now they tee up a new one for Gob Nation. The band grabbed ears opening for Autocamper and The Tubs and the new single springboards off of the momentum from those tours. The biggest version of their sound yet, “Standing on Stones” cracks open the windows and shouts jubilant cheers atop a turbine of strums and drums. The band’s harmonies are dipped in honey, and while this is certainly an heir to the XTC canon, the band would fit right in with Sunshine pop currents and psych-revival swoons like The Ladybug Transistor as well. The new single is set to hit at the end of the month but you can loop the A-side on repeat until then.
