Sean Thompson’s back with a second single off his upcoming sophomore outing with Weird Ears. A softer side of the guitarist’s cosmic country romp, “Riding In The Van” pairs neon streaks with soft strums and soul searching. Thompson’s never one to be pinned in by country’s expectations and the new single shows that off, lacing his sound with an 80s glow of effects while still feeling like an extension of the outrider country canon. The second half finds him stretching out, riding the line between jam and jukebox hits. The new album, Head In The Sand, is out February 7th from Ears Over America.
