Scree – “Nocturne With Fire”

Following quickly on their supple, subtle record from last year, Jasmine On A Night In July, Brooklyn’s Scree offer up an EP of new material, recorded live at The Owl Music Parlor. Culled from two sets at the venue on the same night, the EP comes to a peak on the culminating number, “Nocturne With Fire.” The nine-minute piece creeps in slow, with Ryan El-Solh’s guitar snaking through the dark alone before the rest of the band slips into the elixir. The trio’s symbiosis is on full display as they build the track to a finish worthy of its combustible title. The new EP is out July 19th from Ruination Record Co.
